Trip Description:
This excursion takes you up to the top of Acatenango (13,041ft / 3976m), the most beautiful volcano in all of Guatemala, where you set up camp for an overnight stay. Waking before sunrise, you break camp and head down the steep slopes decending to Volcan Fuego where you have lunch on the knife-edge ridge in the shadow of Fuego itself. Finish with a beautiful high-alpine technical hike descending around the two peaks of Acatenango and arriving back in Antigua by sunset on the second day. After this trip you should have a Double Whammy of shots at the bar!! Sissies need not apply !!!
